  • Size and design tanks and associated hardware for fluid storage and delivery.
  • Size control hardware and specify instrumentation for fluid handling subsystems.
  • Generate P&IDs and drawings for plumbing systems, from system- to component-level.
  • Conduct risk analysis and mitigation, including FMEA generation.
  • Assemble and test plumbing subsystems for both ground equipment and flight hardware.
  • Work with the propulsion and structures teams to integrate plumbing systems with the flight vehicle.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field (eg. Chemical engineering).
  • 1+ year(s) of relevant hands-on experience designing, implementing and testing plumbing systems for fluid handling.
  • Demonstrated strong fluid dynamics knowledge, especially calculation of system parameters (eg. flow-rate, pressure drop) and sizing of system components.
  • Experienced with generating and interpreting P&IDs and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, and proactively ask questions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure in an Agile development environment while working with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ability to adapt to dynamic schedules, and a focus on efficiency without sacrificing quality.

BONUS SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
